BOOHOO.COM WISHLIST

Hello lovelies,

Just a quick post for you today guys :)

Have I ever mentioned that boohoo.com has some amazing stuff?

Including gorgeous, inexpensive, value for money dupes of incredible designer shoes?

I'm a huge fan of their website
(if you can't tell ;)

My current boohoo.com wishlist...

I love, love, LOVE how this is style in the picture,
It's exactly how I would style it :)

(Underground Creeper dupes)

I already have my studded creepers from boohoo.com but I was thinking about getting a plain pair as as back up.

(Jeffrey Campbell Night Walk Dupes)

I have no clue how anyone can walk in these. I don't fancy buying the real deal as they're so expensive for a pair of shoes that might get ditched (constant falling over) but I'm so curious to try a pair :P

(Jeffrey Campbell Spiked Foxy Dupes)

Leather spiked Foxy's are on my christmas list this year :)

(Jeffrey Campbell Spiked Lita dupes)

These are some of the better spiked Lita dupes I have found (unfortunately they aren't available in black ... yet)

I think the contrast between the girly pink and the tough spikes are so cute.

(Jeffrey Campbell Spiked Lita dupes)

You can check out my post on Jeffrey Campbell Lita Dupes
*HERE*

I know exactly how I'd style this pair. With a little black dress, sheer black thigh highs and a studded leather jacket :P

Normally I imagine Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz when I see red shoes but I know any girl who wears these will be able to kick some ass!

Sucks not to have money :(

I'm saving what little I have at the moment for my holiday in Torquay next week :D !
Fingers crossed for great weather!

Are you going anywhere/have been on holiday?
What are your "must pack" items?

In other news
I've got a brand spanking new SLR camera (my baby <3) so I'll be taking lovely (high quality) pictures to show you guys :)

OLYMPIC OPENING + OUTFIT OF THE DAY

Hello lovelies,

Apologies for the lack of posting but I've been busy the past couple days with friends :)

Thursday I went to a friends house for a BBQ with pre drinking before heading off to town for student night
and then last night I went out with family + friends to watch the London Olympic Opening Ceremony

I was very skeptical about it at first - I didn't understand what they were thinking with the whole countryside theme

But when things started getting in motion and they began working on the transformation to the industrial scene - I got goosebumps! The music was so intense and epic.

The Best parts of the ceremony for me had to be the 40 ft Voldemort, Mr Bean and the Queen jumping out of a helicopter with James Bond!
XD

I must say I wasn't impressed with any of the countries outfits - they all looked like air hostesses!

And I was disappointed that Paul McCartney closed the show :(
I wanted Muse to come out and play the official Olympic song!

Everything was so British - I loved it.

What was your favourite part?
Comment below!

Here's what I wore yesterday...

Shirt - Topshop
Bralet - Primark
Disco Pants - Glamourous UK
Doc Martens - Schuh
Sunglasses - Urban Outfitters

In other news I'm not impressed by the Royal Mail right now. It's been a week since I was supposed to receive my online purchases :'(

My Dad's been feeling guilty about the way he's treated me compared to my two brothers, so he's kindly bought me a SLR camera :D !
I'm still waiting for it to come in the post though :(

Damn postal delays!

Until next time,

JEFFREY CAMPBELL LITA DUPES

Hello lovelies,

I LOVE Jeffery Campbell shoes
After being obsessed with them for ages I got my first pair of JC's for my 18th birthday :)

A gorgeous pair of Taupe Suede Lita's
(seen here in a picture of my 18th birthday presents)

My Lita's are absolutely amazing shoes and so comfortable to wear
But they're a bit pricey :/

Falling in love with designer shoes is terrible when you have limited money,
so I've also divulged in cheaper dupes of the lita's

So for you guys, I've complied a list of places where you can find the real JC's online and where you can also find cheaper dupes for under half the price of the originals :)

Here's a list of websites where you can find the real deals...

NORDSTROM (USA)
SOLESTRUCK (USA)
OFFICE (UK)
NASTYGAL (UK)

LITA
The most popular type of Jeffrey Campbell shoes...

^original black distressed leather Lita^
HERE

One of the amazing thing about Lita's is that they can come in such a huge variety of patterns and colour!

Other things about Lita's are that they are so comfortable even with their 5 inch height. This is because of the 2 inch platform on the ball of the foot, it makes the heel only 3 inches high from the bottom of your foot, making the decline from the heel to the toes of the shoe less steep and much more comfortable than "normal" 5 inch heels.
The laces make the shoes form perfectly around your feet so they are sturdy and easier to walk in.

I bought my first pair of Lita dupes from boohoo.com for just £35.00!

The difference between the real Lita's and this pair are that the dupes have a zip on the inside of the shoe, the heels are plastic instead of wood and there are no circle studs near the toes.

I loved these shoes at first but I soon found that the material was really cheap and it began to flake on the ankles where my heels would rubs together sometimes.

This really ruined them for me.

SOME MORE LITA DUPES:

www.missguided.co.uk

www.chockersshoes.co.uk

www.vj-style.com

I personally bought the black leather pair from VJ-Style along with the tan pair when there was a 10% off everything sal and I'm very happy with both pairs :) They're a lot better dupes than any of the others I think. The only difference is that the heel is a more burgundy colour than the real ones and that it's plastic (which makes them feel lighter). The fake leather that they're made of it a much better quality than my boohoo ones.

These are just a few dupes that I've recognized but I'm sure there are plenty of other online stores where you can find some - maybe some that are even more similar.
And of course there's always eBay :)

SPIKED LITA

^Original black leather spike Lita's^

In the current trends of spikes and grunge the spiked Lita's are perfect for bringing a statement to an outfit

The shape of the shoe are no different to the original Lita bootie but the back heel and ankle are covered in a mix of flat and spiked studs

I don't own a pair of these yet ... but goddammit I'm going too!

DUPES:

www.missguided.co.uk

www.boohoo.com

I haven't really found an amazing dupe pair yet that I'd be willing to buy :(

If you've found a better dupe online please comment below with a link for me <3!

I think these are such a great shoe that you'd maybe have to buy the real deal to get the full effect

this is turning into a really long post
so I'm going to stop here for today

I've got plenty more amazing Jeffrey Campbell shoe dupes for you guys like the Foxy's and Nightwalk's, so keep an eye out!
I'll be posting them soon :)

Until next time!

GALAXY PRINT TREND

Hello lovelies,

Quick post for you today :)

The Galaxy print tend has fast become one of my favourites for the summer season

Artistic by nature I was enticed to these patterns because of the endless array of colours and as an aspiring fashion designer I can't help appreciate that this kind of print is such a stand out piece for any outfit

Some may call this trend "hipster"

I just think it's beautiful,

I think theres such a mysterious beauty in astronomy and the pictures of galaxies, universes and nebulas are astounding

This post is all in light of my recent order of this skirt:

I bought this because I was lovestruck by this outfit by Rosie :)
(you can buy this skirt here)

I'm counting down the days until it arrives >.< !

Although the fashion trends may now be leaning more towards autumn, you can still find plenty of galaxy print items over the internet

Here's a just a few I'm loving...

These cosmic leggings are very similar to the ones that were available in Topshop

Galaxy prints are an incredible statement piece, bursting with pattern and colour, and would not need help grabbing attention

Romwe.com has some truly amazing galaxy pieces in their collection right now

Something a bit more different is this gorgeous sheer, asymmetric tank dress.

Styled with all black, a galaxy print can bring a kaleidoscope of colours and make an outfit really stunning.

I personally don't think view this trend as seasonal based, you could wear any of these pieces anytime of year and look gorgeous :)

What do you think of the trend ?

Do you own and galaxy prints ?

Comment below :) !

OUTFIT OF THE DAY

Hello lovelies,

It was a beautiful sunny day today so me, my boyfriend and our friends went to Berry Hill to hang out and make most of the sunshine before we never see it again :)

My toe's feeling a lot better and I can walk without a problem now but it's still very sore to touch :(

Here's what I wore today...

Top - Topshop
Disco Pants - Glamourous UK
Shoes - Topshop
Bag - VJ-style

I went for a very comfy, but stylish look, wearing a loose top tucked into my disco pants which came today! :D

These disco pant are incredibly comfortable, fit perfectly, skim over my bits and look fabulous.

I'll be doing a 'how to style disco pants' post for you guys soon <3

I felt very sexy, daring and trendy wearing these bad boys ;)

I edged the outfit a little with my leather studded loafers which match my favourite, everyday bag - my mock Rocco <3
The bottom half of my outfit is very tough so I feminized it a little with a pastel lilac top.
(the lighting's washed out the colour in the picture)
I wore minimal jewelry because it was so hot today I didn't want to feel too weighed down with a ton of jewelry so I just wore my pink hamsa, cross and peace charm bracelet and an ear cuff.

My boyfriend Sam frolicking with his best friend Zack

It was so lovely to get out the house and be with my friends :)

Until next time,
-Pippa

RECENTLY BOUGHT | ONLINE ORDERS

Hello lovelies,

Haven't been posting any outfit of the days because I've accidentally crippled myself :(

I stubbed one of my toes so hard yesterday that it now causes me great pain when I touch it or try to move it. I don't think it's broken though (my mum's a nurse so she would know). It's just incredibly swollen and bruised.

So I haven't been able to go anywhere basically and it really hurts to wear shoes right now.

In my bed rest state I've been preoccupying myself a little online shopping :P

Here are a few things I've ordered...

Look familiar :) ?

Yes it's the nuclear print dress from my romwe.com wishlist

I ordered it last week when I was visiting my boyfriend and I'm waiting in anticipation for it to soon arrive.
As soon as it comes I've be styling it for you guys :)

Black triangle necklace

I first saw this necklace on Ashleigh and I finally remembered to order one :D

(Don't you just hate that when you buy something online, spending all your money, and then remember that you wanted something and could have bought it instead)

It's such a simple design but it's so pretty and I can style it with anything :)

Black disco pants

I've been contemplating whether or not to buy a pair of disco pants for a while now. I'm not even used to wearing leggings. But I've been looking around at how other gurus and bloggers have been styling them and I took the plunge and ordered these amazing black disco pants from GlamourousUK!

I found out about these great dupes from one of my favourite bloggers - Rosie :)
They were less than £30!

I know people rave about the American Apparel ones - but I just couldn't afford to spend £70 on only one item.

What I tend to do with dupes is buy them to see if I love them so much that I can justify buying the real deal when either the dupes run their course or when I can afford the real deal.

Can't wait until they all arrive :)

What have you ordered recently?

Until next time,

BENEFIT THEY'RE REAL! MASCARA REVIEW

Hello lovelies,

I bought Benefit's They're Real! Mascara about 3 weeks ago and I've used it every day since.

This is my second high end/pricey brand mascara - my first being M.A.C's Haute and Naught Lash Mascara.
Before these I've only owned drugstore brand mascaras like Rimmel and Maybelline

So here's my review...

THE PACKAGING

Benefit's packaging has always been chic with a vintage vibe and it's something I love.
The mascara case is a reflective silver which I'm worried may get a little grubby over time but I think it's gorgeous.
It's a very chunky shape but I think it sort of adds to the vintage feel.

THE WAND

The wand has plastic spikey bristles with a ball shape at the end. This really helps lift the lashes and I use the the ball tip to get into the corners.
You have to wipe the excess mascara off of the tip at the end though before using otherwise you might get way more product than you bargain for.

FYI, when you accidentally poke yourself in the eye with the wand (it happens to everyone at somepoint)
it reealllly hurts :(

THE EFFECT
Before

After
(1 coat)

As you can see from comparing the two pictures the mascara is the ultimate black.
My lashes look thicker, longer and more defined.

The formula I find though takes quite a while to fully dry and even after it's dry it's still feels a little tacky to touch.
I also find that the wand doesn't seperate the lashes as much as I would like and some do stick together, but there are no clumps.
It feels very light on the lashes and doesn't need a load of coats to get a great effect.

THE WEAR

Over the course of the day I find that the mascara stays in place very well and so I'm not constantly on the watch for panda eyes!
I don't know how waterproof the formula is though.

THE PRICE

£18.50 ($23)
Wowcha.
Seems very pricey.

THE CONCLUSION
Overall I think this is a great mascara. It does what it says it does and improves my lashes like I want it to.

9/10

After all... it isn't the UK's  No.1 best selling mascara for nothing

What's your favourite mascara?

A FEW PURCHASES

Hello lovelies,

Just got a couple of things today to show you guys :)

I just want to take a moment and discuss how amazing these Primark clothes hangers are.
They're £4 for a pack of 10 and they're such a steal.
This is the fourth pack I've bought now because they are just too good! I'm slowly replacing all the crappy plastic hangers in my wardrobe :)

They're very thin so you can fit a lot more into your wardrobe and they are coated in this almost suede-y like material (it's hard to describe) which holds the top or dress in place so that there's no possibility of the item slipping off the hanger.
(We all know how annoying it is when you're rooting through your wardrobe for something to wear and a million tops fall of their hangers - ugh!)
These hangers are especially perfect for off the shoulder and oversize tops

Next I got this small bracelet from Topshop because it was too cute too leave without.
It's just two pink adjustable thin fabric bracelets with 3 gold charms - a hamsa hand, a peace symbol and a cross.

And finally I have got this 4 pack of ear cuffs which I spotted.
I've had my eye on the basic pack of Topshop ear cuffs for a while and when I spotted these today I thought they were much more my thing :)

Unfortunately when I had my ears pierced when I was 7 or 8 I had a terrible allergic reaction to the earrings. My ears swelled up, were oozing clear pus and blood and were very painful and scabby.
So unfortunately (and much to my despair) I haven't been able to wear earrings since which is awful because I love earrings so much and want multiple pierced ears :(

So I bought these ear cuffs as a sort of substitution. They just clip around the cartilage in the top of your ear :)

Getting really excited for festival season now! :D

Until next time!
